A Short Trip: Many Black travelers take short trips for weekend getaways, sickness, death in families, for their jobs, especially if they work for a travel agency, etc. Black travelers who work for travel agencies or airlines can often afford to take short trips, but that don’t mean they are drug smugglers.

CBP Officers especially go after airline and travel agency workers especially if they are Black females taking short trips, frequent trips or book flights at the last minute.

Frequent Traveler: Blacks who work for travel agencies, airlines, or have jobs that require them to travel often are targeted for harassment by CBP. Black travelers, who work for travel agencies or airlines, are racially profiled by CBP Officers simply because they have the privilege of being able to travel often. CBP Officers can go into the computer and see that you travel all the time and illegal records are created in the computer on you.
